About Conseil Santé

What is Conseil Santé?

People in Québec are active… but not active enough: just look at the numbers!

In 2014-2015, the Quebec Population Health Survey (carried out on physical activities for leisure and transportation, among other things) indicated that nearly one third of Quebecers had a sedentary lifestyle!

As years go by, the population seems to practice less and less physical activity. In fact, according to the 2018-2019 survey figures, only 48% of the Quebec population was active!

Yet, as we know, practicing regular physical activity not only allows us to maintain a healthy body and mind, but also to prevent injuries and improve certain conditions.

For several years now, CMI Clinics have been guiding their patients and online visitors via their website towards the adoption of healthy habits; in the treatment and prevention of injuries or in the safe practice of physical activity.

This is why Conseil Santé was created in 2022, to offer you a complete platform dedicated to health and well-being!

To ensure that Conseil Santé provides you with serious, high-quality information, we have decided to include our CMI Clinic therapists in the validation process for all our content.

Who is Conseil Santé for?

At Conseil Santé, our mission is to prevent your injuries and help you improve your physical and mental health on a daily basis.

Whether you want to learn about back pain because your back hurts; if you want to start skiing safely or if you simply want to know the difference between a tendonitis and a tendinopathy, Conseil Santé is for you!

Sports, injuries, physical and mental well-being… what can you find on Conseil Santé?

As you may have guessed (and the name leaves little room for doubt!), on Conseil Santé, we talk about everything directly or indirectly related to health.

It goes from sports practice to injury treatment and prevention, to occupational health and well-being tips and tricks.

How to avoid muscle pain when working from home? What is the difference between bursitis and capsulitis? Which muscles are involved in cycling? How to manage stress through breathing? Conseil Santé answers all the questions you may have.

How does it work?

To provide you with the best support possible, we have created different paths to access our health content.

For example, if you suffer from shoulder pain but don’t know what condition you have, simply click on the “Body Part” tab on our home page and choose “Shoulder Pain”. You will find all our content related to the shoulder!

Another way to get there is to click on the tab “Our Health Tips”, which is divided into four parts – Injury and treatment, Health at work, Sports activities, and Mental health and wellness – and choose your topic of interest.

Otherwise, if you want to get straight to the point because you are looking for information on a specific topic, you can use the search bar on the home page to type in the keyword that interests you!

You will be taken directly to the article you are looking for!

Welcome to Conseil Santé!

Who are we?

As you may have guessed, the CMI Clinics team is behind Conseil Santé, and more specifically our digital team, formed by Nathalie Quesnel, Nicolas Varillon and Roxane Téjérina.

Nathalie is the co-founder and Executive Director of CMI Clinics. Her mission is to prevent injuries and improve the daily physical and mental health of everyone by bringing together a multidisciplinary team in her clinics. Conseil Santé is the reflection of this mission on the web.

Nicolas is the Swiss Army knife of CMI Clinics. He joined us at the end of 2020 with a clear objective: to modernize the entire information process of the clinics through various digital supports. Conseil Santé is the latest of these supports and will be updated with a whole range of new content over time.

Roxane is the latest addition to CMI Clinics, as a web editor. Writing about health, wellness and sports is an opportunity for her to start her professional life.

The therapists and doctors at CMI Clinics approve all the content published on Conseil Santé. At the bottom of each article you will find a short description of the person who reviewed it.

You can of course find these health professionals in each of our clinics.
